With Yardi Voyager Inventory Control, you can acquire, store, and track maintenance items used in daily operations. Inventory control functionality includes multiple inventory locations, transferring inventory from one location to another, grouping inventory according to type, and tracking inventory as it used up. With the physical inventory functionality, you can reconcile the actual count of maintenance individual items, bulk items, and fixed assets such as stoves and refrigerators. You bring inventory into Voyager by issuing purchase orders for the items and then receiving the purchase orders. You can also import inventory records using the Voyager ETL feature. Once you have created inventory records, Inventory Control makes it easy to track and report about how you are using the items and determine the best place to store them until they are used. You can configure the system to let you reorder items that are frequently used and to stock fewer items that are used less often. You can track items as they are used for work orders, checked out to trucks and storage locations, and checked back in to the original location. You can track fixed assets as they are transferred from inventory locations to properties or to specific units. Inventory Control keeps records of items that are used, damaged, lost, out-of-date, sold, or otherwise moved out of the system. It provides features that consolidate journal entries to record distribution of inventory.
