This describes how to review unit and roommate information, post utility charges, and generate and email move-out statements.

Typically, Yardi Energy Solutions procedures occur in the following order:

1	YES Energy Management sets up your database for Yardi Energy Solutions.

2	You review the resident and unit information in your database for accuracy.

3	At the end of a billing period, utility companies send your invoices to YES Energy Management.

This only applies if you use the Utility Management service. If you do not use the service, you must send YES Energy Management your invoices. For more information, contact YES Energy Management technical support.

4	Yardi Energy Solutions processes your invoices, allocates utility charges to residents, sends you the Allocations Detail and Allocation Analysis reports, and creates an unposted utility charge batch on your database.

5	You review the utility charge batch and post it.

6	You process receipts for the utility charges. For more information, see “Detail Receipt Batch Procedures” in the Voyager Core User's Guide.

Move-Out Utility Charges

When a resident moves out, you must create move-out utility charges, which Yardi Energy Solutions calculates differently for each allocation method. For more information, see “Creating Move-Out Utility Charges”.

You must create these charges before the end of the current billing period; if you do not, the resident will still be included in utility charge allocations and you may not be able to create move-out utility charges. Before you proceed, contact YES Energy Management technical support.

After you create these charges, you can generate and send a move-out statement to the resident. For more information, see “Generating Move-Out Statements”.
